Christopher Abbott plays Blake Lovell in the movie. He lives in New York City with his wife, Charlotte, a journalist, and their daughter, Ginger. She works as an unemployed writer. Here, they try to strike a balance between Blake’s current role as a stay-at-home father while looking for work and Charlotte’s developing career. Blake soon learns that his father, Grady, who has been missing, has been officially pronounced dead. In order to collect his father’s possessions and spend some time together, the family makes the journey to Blake’s isolated property in Central Oregon.
