A heroic lycanthrope named Werewolf By Night battles crime utilizing a curse bestowed on him by his bloodline in the 2022 TV special film. With a whodunit component reminiscent of the 1974 werewolf films The Beast Must Die and Werewolf Within and partially based on the character from the 1970s Marvel comics, the new movie also draws visual inspiration from Universal’s The Wolf Man (1941).
