Vesper 2022

The English-language, European-produced Vesper is a post-apocalyptic eco-punk tale that translates all of the concerns of the younger generation into a not-too-distant future. The story takes place after the Earth’s ecosystem has collapsed, and the titular 13-year-old lead, played by Raffiella Chapman, scrapes by scavenging the forest. She does this not just for herself but also for her father who uses a drone to communicate while disabled. Vesper is a young scientist who aspires to have a better future in the Citadel, thanks to her discoveries and bio-hacking abilities.
