When a gunshot echoes in the distance, Dr. John Watson is running through the woods. There is another gunshot as he calls for Sherlock Holmes. A shot is fired, and Sherlock and James Moriarty fall into the water as Watson arrives at the shore. Following Sherlock and Moriarty’s plummet over a waterfall, Watson is subsequently spotted face down in the water, his head bleeding. In a hospital bed, Watson is unconscious. The incident is explained by Shinwell Johnson. After a few days, Watson wakes up and is unable to identify Shinwell. Watson refers to Shinwell’s moniker as ridiculous once he discloses his identity.
