The wedding of Gristle and Bridget is disrupted by the return of Branch’s elder brother John Dory in the first sequence of events. The ex-leader of BroZone is on a mission to defend their sensitive brother Floyd from the newest pop group on the town, Velvet and Veneer. After all, Velvet and Veneer have no choice but to consume Floyd’s soul in order to reach the top of the charts with skill as phony as their songs. The premise is intriguing, as is the fact that Daveed Diggs and Kid Cudi represent Branch’s surviving siblings, but Trolls Band Together never enables the family trip to veer from the script.
