Thelma who is widowed and lives alone, sticks to her routine and enjoys her visits from her grandson Daniel. Who is a twentysomething living in uncertainty. Thelma gets a frantic call one day from a con artist acting. Daniel wanting $10,000 to get her out of a horrible predicament. Thelma complies, thinking she is saving the young man and mails the money. Thelma eventually gets in touch with Daniel. Her daughter Gail, and her son-in-law Alan.
