In 1968, Odette and Clarice are close as teenagers, figuring out who they are as young ladies. One day, they are assigned to get in touch with their classmate Barbara Jean, who had just lost her mother. Odette, Clarice, and Barbara Jean become friends with the shy teenager after they see the harsh circumstances she’s in with her stepfather.
