Dan, a prosperous automobile dealer in Buffalo, New York, supports his family, which includes his spouse Jessica, kids Nina and Kyle, and baby Max. Dan tries to keep in touch with his family despite his rising concerns about their distance. But the mysterious man finds himself in peril when he is targeted for death by gangs of professional killers, forcing him to come up with a plan to get his family out of Buffalo. To quell concerns, Dan makes up a story about a vacation and quickly plans a road trip to Las Vegas. In an attempt to start over, he gathers false papers while traveling to meet Augie. As they travel, they learn the real identities of Nina and Kyle (Kyle is an amazing gamer, and Nina is prepared to stop at an Iowa college to make her future plans), and Dan and Jessica rekindle their love and resume dating.
