Will and his expectant spouse, Paige, have recently moved to the seaside hamlet of Providence. With Will starting his first day at the local police department and reporting to Captain Murphy and Terry, who are ready to enjoy the peace of the town, the couple seeks a more tranquil existence. Will encounters pandemonium when Terry reveals his inactivity at work and he unintentionally receives a call from an intruder, killing Virginia, the wife of Wallace, the local fish supplier. Terry and Will realize they’re in trouble together, so they try to hide the crime together. Along the way, Terry finds a basket full of cash.
