Chris has recently lost his job, but he’s determined to make his house stand out in the neighborhood’s “Candy Cane Land” holiday decoration contest, which is being televised this year and has a large cash prize. With pressure from his wife, Carol, and the responsibility of caring for his children Joy, Nick, and young Holly, Chris is searching for something extraordinary to help his house stand out from the rest. He stumbles upon a Christmas pop-up shop run by Pepper, a peculiar elf who offers Chris a towering “12 Days of Christmas” display. Chris sets up the enormous device in his front yard, hoping for glory, but instead, chaos ensues as the magical device releases its characters into the world.
